Hortense: MOTHER, did you forget to pay the power bill?
MOTHER: You could say that.
Hortense: What are we gonna do?
MOTHER: Just go outside and play.
Hortense: But it's too dark outside!
MOTHER: No it's not, it's 3 in the afternoon.
Hortense: Why's it so dark in here?
MOTHER: I sold the windows to pay for this fabulous new outfit.
